Home Remedies for Loss of Appetite

  1. Peel one to three grams of ginger, add a small amount of salt and chew this half an hour before meals, once a day for eight days. If some drops of lemon juice are added in this mixture, it cures flatulence, pain in the abdomen and constipation.
  2. Prune (aloo-bukhara) contains vitamin C and is an appetiser.
  3. Intake of 250 gms of guava with salt and black pepper increases appetite.
  4. Intake of pomegranate juice with black pepper and black salt is a very good appetiser.
  5. Intake of tomato soup half an hour before meals increases appetite.
  6. Salad containing cucumber, radish, tomato, onion, cabbage, carrot with sprinkling black salt and lemon squeezed on it and taken along with food increases appetite.
  7. Boil tamarind in water with black pepper, a clove, lesser cardamom, sieve it, let it cool and drink this in case of loss of appetite.
